Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes. One of our design consultants can set aside 30 minutes to an hour with you and your bridesmaids who can try on styles and go through fabrics and colours.

Do I have to bring anything to my appointments?
Your bridesmaids! Bring any pictures and ideas and a picture or sketch of your gown. Once a dress is underway, we also require you to bring the shoes and underwear which you will be wearing on the big day, so we can get the gown exactly right.

How early should I book to have my bridesmaid’s gown made to measure?
It really depends how organized you would like to be. We are flexible with time frames, ideally we like to have at least eight weeks to complete a set of gowns, but exceptions can be made for shorter time constraints.

TIP:Once you book your bridesmaids’ gowns we will give you a sample of your material so you can then co-ordinate others things that are needed for your special day.

What if my wedding is within the next few months or so?
Just give us a call. Whether from The Signature Collection or RTW. We do “rush cuts” for quick delivery needs. We are flexible and hope to accommodate all orders. There is no extra fee for this service but please call us NOW if your wedding is soon.

How long does it take to make a bridesmaid’s gown?
On average it takes 3-8 weeks. Although it may take longer if we have to source individual fabrics, colours or trims, and of course the availability of fabrics also comes in to play. This is why we like gowns to be ordered early, to make the process an enjoyable, stress free experience.

How can the separates be ordered?
Our separates concept is to “MIX & MATCH.” You can order any style top with any style skirt.

Can different sizes be ordered for tops and skirts?
Yes, we cater from size 6 to 20.

Will I be dealing direct with the designer after I have booked my gown with Giannak?
We try to have the designer at every appointment; otherwise, there will always be a well-trained staff member to assist you. We believe in an individual and personal service.

One of my bridesmaids may be losing weight or I have a pregnant bridesmaid. Is this going to be a problem?
Not at all. Just let us know if you’re losing weight and we will organize to have measurement updates. Being pregnant is a wonderful thing and although we do not offer maternity wear in the RTW Collection, gowns can easily be modified to suit the various stages of pregnancy. The G I A N N A K team has extensive knowledge when it comes to accommodating a mum-to-be.

I live and/or my bridesmaids interstate/overseas. Can I still have gowns made?
Of course, we work around these situations. For far away friends it is an easy process and something we deal with regularly. Just let us know when your girls arrive and our trained staff will have their dress done and altered no matter how close to the wedding they arrive. Alternatively, we can also make the dress to their measurements, you can pick the gown up from us and the bridesmaid can have it altered by someone near her.

How many fittings do I need to have?
We require two to three fittings depending on the style and complexity of the gown.

Would I be able to purchase extra fabric?
Extra fabric is available for purchase, just place an order with us.

How much should I expect to pay for a Giannak bridesmaid gown?
The Signature Collection begins at $300 including fabrics and fittings. Most are spending up to $600 but there are gowns that we make over this price. RTW begin at $210, and Flowergirls dresses start from $180.
